Throwback Thursday
11:41 AMHey X'ers it's finally Thursday!!! It's time go go back through memory lane and remember some old time favorite TV show Boy Meets World, it is surly one of the top family TV series of the 90's we all know and love the Matthew's family with Cory's awkward yet hilarious personality and Topaga's weirdness and smartness in the show.
For those of you who haven't watched the show here is a summary of what it is about:
The show aired during 1993 and ended in the 2000's. (quick fact none of the X'ers bloggers were yet to born so we watched the late seasons and the rest in reruns :P born during the mid-90's) It's a TV sitcom following the middle schooler Cory Matthews family and friends through daily life lessons that he faces from school bullies to growing up. The viewers follow Cory from Middle School, High School, and being a married Collage student life with all it's ups and downs. The show displays character growth in not only the main character "Cory" but all the other characters such as siblings, parents, friends and so on. The show is 7 seasons that captivates the viewer into the life of the various characters.
Boy Meets World is one of my favorite 90's shows it shows us how friendship lasts through various stages in our life no matter what, people always say that school friends are only with you for a short time but collage friends last but this show displays the contrary. You can still be friends with people who attended school with you no matter what. Boy Meets World is a great watch during a lazy day or a rainy day in. The show is funny, has drama and it's real as in you can relate to most of the things that they face whether they are grades, scared of change or just an individuals growth throughout the years. The show continues on in the modern revival Girl Meets World.
The best part is you can continue watching how these individuals grow especially the main duo Cory and Topanga in the latest Disney Channel Sitcom Girl Meets World. I know this doesn't go in with the whole throwback concept but who doest love a revival of their beloved show, So with this latest sitcom it follows their daughter Riley on her journey. This show is great it allows the older viewers to see their favorite character and where they are now and answer many questions, are Cory and Shawn still best friends after all these years, does Shawn marry Angelia, is Finney still a teacher. This show helps the viewers get closure and a sense of nostalgia while watching this brand new show (currently on it's 3rd season). The show unites the older generation with the present bringing in new concepts to the show as well technology that was really not that present during the original shows air time and how it changes some aspects but its a great modern day show of the Boy Meets World twist.
Hope you enjoyed the first of many TB Thursdays!! comment below on your favorite nostalgic childhood TV Show :)
